Our Promise
We want you to be confident in your purchase. Below is our refund policy for each type of service. State filing fees collected on your behalf are subject to state policies and are usually non-refundable.
Service Fees
Our fees (LLC formation, registered agent, EIN, etc.) are refundable as follows:
- Before submission to the state: 100% refund of our service fee. State filing fees may already be paid and non-refundable depending on the state.
- After submission to the state: Service fees are no longer refundable as we have already performed the work and paid state fees.
- If we make an error: We will correct any error caused by us at no additional charge, including re-filing fees.
State Filing Fees
State filing fees are paid directly to the state government. Refunds for state fees follow each state's policy:
- Most states do not refund filing fees once submitted, even if the filing is rejected
- If your filing is rejected for our error, we will pay the re-filing fee
- If your filing is rejected due to information you provided, you are responsible for any re-filing fee
Registered Agent Service
- You may cancel your registered agent service at any time before the next renewal
- If cancelled within 30 days of the most recent payment, you may request a prorated refund
- After 30 days, the annual fee is non-refundable
- You are responsible for designating a new registered agent before cancellation; we cannot resign as your agent until a replacement is designated
Recurring Subscriptions
For monthly services (virtual office, mail forwarding, professional email, business phone):
- You may cancel at any time
- You will continue to have access until the end of the current billing period
- Partial-month refunds are not provided
Refunds Are NOT Available For
- Trademark applications submitted to the USPTO (USPTO fees non-refundable; service fees non-refundable after submission)
- EIN service after the EIN has been obtained from the IRS
- ITIN service after the application is submitted
- Apostille services after documents have been authenticated
- Domain name registrations after registration is complete
How to Request a Refund
- Log in to your dashboard
- Go to Orders and find the order you'd like to refund
- Click "Request Refund" on eligible orders, or email support@shojum.com
- Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days back to the original payment method
Disputes
If you have a billing dispute, please contact us first at billing@shojum.com. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in account suspension.
